MIAMI: TAP INTRODUCES ORANGE ECONOMY DURING MEETING WITH NEW MEXICAN CONSUL

On Tuesday, August 27th, TAP joined an executive round-table with the newly-arrived Mexican Consul General to Miami, Jonathan Chait. A career foreign service official with previous posts in El Paso, San Francisco, Dallas, and Washington, D.C., Consul Chait brings over 20 years of experience in liaising U.S.-Mexican bilateral economic and political relationships in the most critical territories.

TAP Chairman Gustavo Pupo-Mayo took this opportunity to present to the Consul our interest and work on Orange Economy initiatives in the region with the hopes of fostering a productive dialogue in this area. The Orange Economy refers to the creative and innovative industries that rely on human capital as their main input. As expressed by TAP Chairman, Mexico’s geographic location, natural diversity, and robust talent pool make it the ideal country to take advantage of policies to incentivize these creative economies and specifically, the local audiovisual sector, through the attraction investment from U.S. companies.
