TAP Chairman Gustavo Pupo-Mayo and Dominican Republic Minister of Foreign Affairs Roberto Alvarez
Miami: February 19th. TAP Chairman Gustavo Pupo-Mayo met with the Dominican Republic’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Roberto Alvarez during a private roundtable organized by Americas Society / Council of the Americas.
TAP expressed our support for the DR’s audiovisual production incentives program, which has become a regional best practice. Established under Law 108-10, these incentives, which include transferrable tax credits and import duty exemptions, have attracted numerous international productions over the years.
The Minister highlighted his country’s macroeconomic and political stability as a key advantage for investors. He also discussed the upcoming Summit of the Americas, which will be held in Santo Domingo in November 2025.
