Television Association of Programmers Latin America (TAP) met with the Ambassador of Argentina, within the framework of the meeting organized by the Americas Society Council of the Americas (AS/COA).

On Thursday, January 26, 2023, Gustavo Pupo-Mayo, Chairman of the Television Association of Programmers Latin America (TAP) met with the Ambassador of Argentina to the US, Jorge Argüello at an event of the Americas Society Council of the Americas (AS/COA) .

The meeting focused on the importance of strengthening trade relations between the United States and Argentina. Pupo-Mayo highlighted the importance and effectiveness of using incentives, instead of protectionist measures, to attract foreign investment in the audiovisual sector and promote the local industry. This consideration is highly relevant in Argentina, which has a highly trained and talented workforce with experience in film and television production.

Ambassador Argüello has held various diplomatic posts for Argentina, including Ambassador to the United Nations, the United States, Portugal, and Cape Verde.
